Dear Comrade,

I am sending you by book-post my article which should serve as a reply to Comrade Rosa Luxemburg’s attacks.[1] I am aware that the sympathies of the editors of Neue Zeit[2] are with my opponents, but I believe it would be only fair to grant me the right to correct some of the inaccuracies in Rosa Luxemburg’s articles. My article has been translated by Comrade Lidin. You have already printed one of his articles, hence you can judge of his knowledge of the   German language. I myself cannot write in German. I have made my article very brief; I wanted it to take up less space than Rosa Luxemburg’s, and not to be too lengthy for Neue Zeit. If nevertheless you find it too long, I am prepared to cut it again to the desired length. At the same time I must insist that no cuts be made without my consent.

Kindly let me know if the Editorial Board accepts the article or not.

With Social-Democratic greetings,
N. Lenin

My address:
Vl. Oulianoff
3. Rue David Dufour. 3.
Genf. Genève, Suisse.
