19 November 2008: Since March 2008 a handful of volunteers have worked diligently to overhaul the J. V. Stalin Archive, which includes a newly designed homepage. A central feature of this effort has been the Foreign Languages Publishing House’s 13 volume collection and Volume 14, published by Red Star Press. Presently our volunteers have completed all of Volumes 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13 and most of 9. In addition to this collection, a separate index was designed that includes some texts, or alternate translations of texts, not found in the official Works collection. Finally, subject specific archives were designed and a search engine exclusively for the Stalin Archive was added.

9 November, 2008: The Encyclopedia of Trotskyism On-Line has been always dedicated to placing on line the full volume of articles from various Trotskyist newspapers and journals. To that end, we have started a very important project: the placing on the line of the contents of The Militant, the New York weekly newspaper of the U.S. Trotskyist movement founded by the U.S. supporters of the Russian Left Opposition. The Militant started publishing toward the end of 1928 and except for a brief interruption, or published under some different names, can been in continual publication since that date. ETOL volunteers will first work on building tables of contents for each each issue before articles are added except where they already exist on other parts of the Marxists Internet Archive. Copies of The Militant are being provided to us on microfilm by the Holt Labor Library.
