The Central committee of the Communist party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist) has received the following message from the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist party of China:

Shocked to learn passing away of Comrade Hill former CPA (M-L) chairman. We feel greatly grieved and express our heartfelt condolences and profound sympathy to your Party, and through you to Comrade Joyce and family.

Comrade Hill has long devoted himself to promoting friendship between Chinese and Australian peoples. We lost in his death an old comrade and friend. We believe CPA (M-L) will turn grief into strength and continue to work for the progressive cause Comrade Hill championed all his life.
