Socialists will be grateful for this cheap reprint of Professor Clapham’s classic work of economic history. It covers the major rural, industrial, monetary and labour developments in France and Germany, with some reference to changes in Belgium. This edition is the 1936 one, amended to take into account the research of Bloch, Lefebvre and Schnabel. The price of the volume is still high, but the value inestimable.
