The Archief en Museum van de Socialistische Arbeidersbeweging, founded in 1965, is the largest documentation centre of the labour movement in Belgium. It holds the records of the main socialist parties and trade unions in Flanders (1,500 m), 40,000 books, 3,100 serials and some 320,000 audiovisual items.
It is located at Bagattenstraat 174, B-9000 Gent, tel 32-9-224.00.79, fax 233.67.11. Opening hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-12:00, 13:00-17:00.
