2. May 18, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 3. --- Carlson YWL Rep to CEC of WPA.

 

3. May 30, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 4-5. --- Martin Abern named regular Sec. of YWLA.

 

4. June 14, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 6-7. --- League HQ being set up in Chicago, arrangements being made. Schulenberg new NEC rep to WPA CEC after Abern and Carlson move to Chicago.

 

5. July 12, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 8-9. --- CHICAGO HEREAFTER. Thesis on relations between Relation of WP & YWL accepted by WPA.

 

6. July 25, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 10-11.

 

7. Aug. 10, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 12. --- Zam resigns from NEC, replaced by J. Edwards.

 

8. Aug. 26, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 13. --- Treasurer's report: $800 deficit.

 

9. Aug. 31, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 14-15. --- YWLA affiliates with General Defense Committee.

 

10. Sept. 25, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 15. --- Membership assessed 50 cents for defense. Carlson and Abern made editorial committee, Schulenberg rep to CEC of WPA, Nat Kaplan field organizer in NJ.

 

11. Sept. 28, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 17. --- New resolution on relations between WP and YWL to be drawn up.

 

12. Oct. 19, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 18-19. --- MINUTES MEETING # MISNUMBERED AND HEREAFTER. Browder seated as rep of CEC of WPA to YWLA. Harry Gannes made acting Secretary in Abern's absence. Schulenberg resigns as treasurer, replaced by Oswald.

 

13. Oct. 20, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 20. --- Abern gone [health], might not be back soon. Plans for succession to NEC laid.

 

14. Nov. 16, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 21-22. --- Harry Gannes named Secretary YWLA. NEC member Nat Kaminsky resigns because he can't make it to Chicago. Max Salsman named his replacement.

 

15. Nov. 26, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 23-24. --- William Reynolds cooptated to NEC.

 

16. Dec. 9, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 25-26. --- George Oswald resigns for financial reasons, leaving city. R. Garver named to NEC to replace Oswald. Salzman named Treasurer to replace Oswald. Harry Gannes named as delegate to Cleveland Conference for Progressive Political Action (Dec. 11-12, 1922).

 

17. Dec. 20, 1922 --- d. 154, l. 27. --- Harry Gannes, Herman Jacobs, Herbert Zam named delegates to WPA convention. Bechtold added to Technical Committee. Max Greenberg credentialled as organizer, his expenses being paid by Finnish branches of WPA.

 

18. Dec. 24, 1922 --- d. 154, ll. 28-30. --- IMPORTANT MEETING. Convention Matters, Labor Party, etc. YWL convention set for May 13-14, 1923.
