Rain
The rain and I were walking along
Good companions
She ran before and behind me
Our treasure was in my heart
She sang to hide us
And to let my heart rest
She put her wet skin on my brow
Dear, human rain
She leaned her ear in close
To see if my quiet song had been destroyed
She puts her hands on my shoulders
And runs off into the field of sky
And she shows me sunlit diamonds
And she caresses my skin
And she sings into my bones
Until I become a good companion too
And sound out a great song
That can be heard
And the birds and cabarets
Say of our passing that
Now, both of them, they sing
