Spence began publishing the Giant Killer in August 1814. It was intended to be a weekly publication similar in contents to Pigs' Meat. Only the first two issues survive, and the only major piece signed by Spence himself is the new version of the Marine Republic. Thomas Spence died on the 1st of September, 1814.
