What we have to do with here is the question of: Once people become contacts, once we’re in contact with the fighters, and before they’re willing & able to become members in our Marxist-Leninist groups (if their level of commitment & unity with us were to develop to that point) how can we best work with them L how can they best help us? On the next two pages we reprint our two recently developed “Statements” “composing” our plan. The first would be given to, and gone over with, relatively new contacts so they can get an idea of both the content of our “mission” & concretely at what levels & in what ways they can participate and help. The second is the: Stand, Purpose & Priorities of Work of the Anti-Imperialist Union of San Diego - where the more highly-committed work.
A. IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE SAN DIEGO AND/OR ARE A MEMBER OF AN ALREADY EXISTING POLITICAL GROUP:
1. If you’re a member of an already organized group, struggle to win it over to uniting with SDMLG on the basis of the Line of the International Marxist-Leninist Communist Movement (IMLCM). The IMLCM has shown that the revolution is the task up for solution and that founding the Party in total opposition to opportunism of all hues must be the first step. We call on all those who agree with this and with the stands of the IMLCM which SDMLG has tried to summarize in “The 5 (& 10) BURNING QUESTIONS...”, to join us in this work at whatever level their commitment has reached. This applies to all US Marxist-Leninists & advanced.
2. If you’re a member of an already organized group and it won’t or can’t unite with SDMLG:
A. Leave it and struggle to unite with SDMLG based on this Line & with all the commitment you’ve got; &
B. Try to bring as many of the other class-conscious members with you.
3. If you are out of the San Diego area, struggle to unite with SDMLG’s Ideo/Political and Organizational Lines; then, with our help, form a chapter, or at least an Anti-Imperialist support group there.
B. IF YOU LIVE IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA AND ARE NOT A MEMBER OF AN EXISTING POLITICAL GROUP:
1. Struggle to unite with SDMLG’s Ideo/Political and Organization Lines and join us now. If you can’t...
2. Struggle to unite with our Lines at a high level of commitment and work under our leadership in the Anti-Imperialist Union of San Diego[2] now. If you can’t...
3. Struggle to unite with our Lines and show some commitment by joining SDMLG’s “Helpers”[3] now. If you can’t..
4. Try, to the best of your ability, at this time to win others over to working 1n or with SDMLG, & to keep our cause, the cause of the International Working Class and oppressed peoples, in your heart by reading & studying our literature & the Classics of Marxism-Leninism, opposing Opportunism of all hues & working to get to the point where you will, in the (near) future, be able to take up revolutionary work.
OUR STAND: Our enemy is monopoly capitalism, world-wide imperialism, headed by US Imperialism and Soviet Social-Imperialism, “reaction all down the line”, a dictatorship unrestrained by any laws & which can only be changed thru its overthrow by violent revolution & its replacement with Socialism, the dictatorship of the proletariat (the working class). The struggles of the masses to defend their rights & livelihood, no matter how heroic, have always been cut short & aborted by reformism & the reformists who are sent into the masses’ struggles by the bourgeoisie (the capitalists) to split & sabotage, & to get the people to give up fighting the capitalists under one hoax or another. Partial victories can be won & the struggles become continuous & fierce, only when the masses are united in opposition to their enemies. This unity can be achieved only when two conditions have been met: all the Marxist-Leninists are united in one Party carrying out an irreconcilable struggle against reformism, revisionism & opportunism of all hues; & the activity of the Party has led the masses to drive the reformists & other enemy agents from the mass movement and to take up the revolutionary perspective.
There can be no revolutionary practice without revolutionary theory. But revolutionary theory can not be developed without a Marxist-Leninist Party. And there can be no revolutionary movement without it being led by such a Party based on the most advanced theory. This Party must be part of the International Marxist-Leninist Communist Movement(IMLCM)led. by the Party of Labor of Albania. Exactly because such a Party does not now exist, we say that FOUNDING THE NEW MARXIST-LENINIST COMMUNIST PARTY IS OUR MAIN & ONLY TASK.
ONLY HE OR SHE WHO GRASPS THIS TASK & CAN SUCCESSFULLY CARRY IT OUT IS A REVOLUTIONARY!
OUR PURPOSE: At this time, when all the most active & far-sighted members of our class have seen the failure of all “traditional” methods of fighting the bourgeoisie, we must seize the chance & arouse among them a mass movement to study revolutionary ideas & methods,, aimed at overthrowing & not reforming our wage-slavery. The advanced must take up the 5 Burning Questions of the day: The dictatorial nature of Capitalism & the disaster it’s preparing for. us;; the 100% treasonous nature of the reformists & all opportunists & the defeats they lead us into; the need to study Scientific Communism, Marxism-Leninism; the need to found the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party; & the bright way forward shown by Socialist Albania & the IMLCM. The masses must take up these questions & come to the conclusion: the Party must be formed; and set about doing it.
We have voluntarily united in this organization to further the development of each of us into a Marxist-Leninist (a class-conscious agent in history, a fighter & leader of the masses) by uniting under the leadership of the organized Marxist-Leninists of San Diego, the San Diego Marxist-Leninist Group, to:
A) Take the science of Marxism-Leninism to the masses & find those who are ready to take up the main task;
B) Consolidate these advanced workers (& other advanced elements), including ourselves, into a democratic centralist organization based on a Marxist-Leninist line; and
C) Help build the San Diego Marxist-Leninist Group & the Party it is helping to found.
THE MASSES MAKE HISTORY, THE PARTY MAKES THEM CONSCIOUS!
PRIORITIES OF OUR WORK:
1) Help SDMLG in whatever way we are capable;
2) Participate regularly & actively in our meetings where we study the science of Marxism-Leninism, help develop a practical plan based on its universal laws, & review our practical work in applying it;
3) Pass out Marxist-Leninist literature: WORKERS’ VOICE, RED FLAG & other publications of the SDMLG, & Classics of the science, & current works of the IMLCM;
4) Work one-on-one with contacts to develop St win them over to join us in our work;
5) Work systematically to build a network of supporters as well;
6) Demonstrate openly together under our bright red banners of revolution & socialism;
7) Begin to lead the struggle to unite the masses against their real enemy in & thru the all-out struggle to unmask and drive out all the misleaders.
At this time, when all the people’s forces are so scattered and confused, and looking for a new way, the bulk of our work, time-wise, should be one-on-one work.
THE PARTY IS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING!
[1] The SDMLG is the militant voluntary union of the San Diego Marxist-Leninists dedicated to using all its efforts at this time to carrying out the MAIN & ONLY TASK for genuine revolutionaries in the US at this time: FOUNDING THE NEW MARXIST-LENINIST COMMUNIST PARTY.
This Party (as well as its precursors, such as SDMLG) has the main aim of leading the working class & oppressed masses of the US from capitalism to socialism thru violent revolution.

[3] The “SDMLG’s HELPERS” 1s the title we’ve given to those who are willing & able to dedicate 1 or more hours every week to help with various tasks. If we can depend on the help being given at the same time each week -this Is preferable but not absolutely necessary. The more hours a week, of course, the better.
Here, in approximate order, are some of the valuable ways to help us. (Or come up with ideas of your own).
1. PROPAGANDIST: One-on-one work with Contacts…win them over to work with us.
2. DONATE $$: weekly or monthly pledge. RAISE $$: especially for travel & literature.
3. TRANSLATE: Works from IMLCM; US groups’ SDMLG; A.I.U. of S.D.; & from Mexico = Spanish –to-English.
4. TYPING: English and/or Spanish.
5. LEAFLETTING: at factories, schools, communities, demonstrations & to contacts.
6. LITERATURE “PRODUCTION”: Lay-out: headlines, graphics & articles, etc.; photography, printing, Xeroxing.
7. INVESTIGATION: Into Objective & Subjective (the “Left”...) factors, including strikes, newsclips, etc.
8. WRITING: As a result of your own investigation & study; or other writing. (Under SDMLG’s leadership).
9. SELECTING ARTICLES FOR REPRINTING/PUBLICATION: From the IMLCM [The IMLCM in the world today is led by the Party of Labor of Albania & includes the Canadian CPCm1 & dozens more.], PLA. CPCml... (alone or as a set)
10. CLOTHES (ETC.) DRIVE: Usable clothes, equipment, Classics of Marxism-Leninism...
