Originally, Revolusjon – Revolution – was an extended editorial board publishing a journal defending Marxism-Leninism, with the aim of helping to prepare the conditions for the reestablishing of a Marxist-Leninist Communist Party in Norway.

Some years later, it was decided to establish an organization based on Marxist-Leninist norms and principles; The Marxist-Leninist group Revolusjon.

The journal “Revolusjon!” has been published since 1987, appearing with from 1 to 3 issues annually. Since 1996 the ML organization Revolusjon has been member of the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations.
