Objective

The Marxist-Leninist (ML) Group Revolusjon aims at organizing Marxist-Leninists in Norway. The main task is to prepare the foundations for the reconstruction of a Marxist-Leninist party of the working class. The ML-group Revolusjon will be dissolved when this objective is achieved.

We promote cooperation between organized as well as un-organized Marxist-Leninists from different lairs, in the context of advancing the party-preparatory work.

Political grounding

Marxism-Leninism, as a socio-political science and conception of reality, is the ideological foundation on which the ML-group Revolusjon is based. Marxism is to us not merely a tool for analysis, it is a wide-scoped and consistent science in constant development. We uphold the fundamental theoretical analyses and conclusions worked out by Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin. These are still valid, and will remain so as long as imperialism prevails. Other theoreticians and political leaders, too, have given important contributions to the understanding and implementation of Marxism-Leninism; however one cannot say that they have brought the theory to “a higher stage of development”.

Marxism is not a “dogma”. Historical and dialectical materialism teaches us that nothing is static, and that new scientific discoveries and features in the development of imperialism continuously makes it necessary to keep Marxism-Leninism up to date, as the ideological weapon of the working class in the struggle against the class enemy.

The ML-group Revolusjon does not, for the time being, have a party programme in the real sense of the word. A marxist-leninist programme will however be forwarded at Revolusjon’s national council in 2002. We offer and appeal to other revolutionary forces and individuals to contribute to the discussions and work linked with this programmatic process.

Our ideological and political platform is the paper at hand together with official documents and analyses published by the organization. Revolusjon has endorsed the Quito-declaration, which serves as ideo-political basis for the International Marxist-Leninist movement.

Methods of work, tasks and priorities

The ML-group Revolusjon gives weight to the need of being an active organization, and gives great heed to combining theory and practice. Especially under the present circumstances, theoretical studies and analyzes are important, but theoretical knowledge must come to practical use. Propaganda-work is not sufficient in itself, the Marxist-Leninists must be active participants in the class struggle. The continued struggle against membership and subjugation to the European Union, the struggle against Norwegian imperialism, against NATO, fascism and the policy of class collaboration are permanent tasks.

The magazine “Revolusjon!” is the official organ of the organization. Revolusjon on web (www.revolusjon.no) is the internet home page.

Internationalism

The struggle for revolution and socialism is international. The ML-group Revolusjon is part of the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist parties and organizations, and has fraternal relations with communist parties and organizations all around the world.
