In the people’s prisons the Montoneros organization is proceeding with the interrogation of the Born brothers.

These two advocates of imperialism and the oligarchy in Argentina have been brought before popular justice so that a part of what they stole from the people for so many years might be returned to the people. Nevertheless, after this the government will ignore the monopolist maneuvers, tax evasion, and exploitation of the workers of its factories, which in reality are continuing.

In fact, the firm of Bunge and Born, according to information we have on record and the confirmation of the directors in our hands, has these past months carried out negotiations with the government with the aim of covering up irregularities in the business’s dealings and their evasion of legal reprisals....

Minister Otero has participated in their connections with the government; as will be recalled, he was employed by Centenera, which is part of the Bunge and Born group.

The history of Bunge and Born is the history of the exploitation of our people, of monopolistic maneuvers, of an economic power in service to dependency, of shortages, and monopolization denounced by Gen. Perón June 12. And now that there is a confessed link with the government there is no doubt as to whose interests it answers to.

It is for this that we today call on the people to resist, for this government is not Peronist, because in the matter of social justice salaries are deteriorating every day, and Peronist and popular leaders are being repressed and assassinated; because in the matter of economic independence, instead of the economic independence they chattered about, with their dishonest policies there is a ever greater surrender to the centers of imperialist power; because political sovereignty doesn’t exist when the minister Vigens meets with Kissinger in the US so the latter can tell him that he must repress and “eliminate terrorism in the country.’

Bunge and Born, the Vandorista bureaucracy [1], Lopez Rega and Isabel are all part of the same policy, the subjugation of the people in service to imperialism.
