The remainder of the article by IS! is entitled “The Proletarian Revolution in Canada and the International Situation”. Rather than deal here with the issues they raise, we will be addressing IS!’s position along with those of other groups within the Marxist-Leninist movement in a separate pamphlet on this area of political line.
We have prepared this critique of In Struggle!’s line on the path of the revolution in Canada because we see the urgent necessity for the Marxist-Leninist movement to adopt scientific methods of analysis. As we have shown, IS! has not produced a scientific analysis, but in general has merely dressed up their own assumptions with quotes from Marx and Lenin and with impressive sounding rhetoric. Their conclusions are not warranted by the “analysis” they put forward, nor could they be substantiated.
It is our hope that In Struggle! will re-evaluate and correct its line. This critique was done in part to impress upon them the necessity to do so.
