The Gestapo has been on the alert for the past two weeks. Attempting to parry the mortal blow that our propaganda for fraternization is delivering to the Nazi regime it is pursuing our militants, aided in this by the reports of the prefecture of police. In its blindness the Gestapo is seeking and arresting so-called Trotskyists, former political militants, and union sympathizers who had ceased any real activity since the outbreak of the war. All those who have approached us in any way are targeted. Everyone should be on their guard.

For our part, northing will stop us, neither the inevitable provocations nor the arrests and tortures that are promised us.

We know that in extending our hand to the German worker in uniform we strike Hitler more effectively than do terrorist assassinations. That the Gestapo realizes this – a bit late – is all the more reason for us to persevere.
