Petrograd is in the hands of the Military Revolutionary Committee of the Petrograd Soviet. In a unanimous effort the workers and soldiers obtained a victory almost without bloodshed. Kerensky's government is deposed. The Committee appeals to the front and the rear to pay no heed to provocation, and to support the Petrograd Soviet and the new revolutionary government which is going to offer at once a just peace, to transfer the land to the peasants, and to summon the Constituent Assembly. Local authority is transferred to the Soviet of Workers', Soldiers,' and Peasants' Deputies.
