LSM News

 

LSM News was a quarterly journal published by the Liberation Support Movement (LSM) a Marxist-Leninist collective committed to solidarity with third world revolutions, particularly in Africa.

LSM was founded was founded in Vancouver in 1969 by Don Barnett, an American anthropologist who taught at Simon Fraser University. By the early 1970s it had members in Seattle, Washington, the San Francisco Bay Area, and New York City. In addition to publishing LSM News, it produced a variety of pamphlets, posters and other printed materials on liberation struggles in Southern Africa, Guinea-Bissau, East Timor, Eritrea, Oman, and Palestine. LSM News ceased publication in 1978 and LSM disbanded in 1982.
